Con Update
Ahh finally a day to breathe... it seems like it's one thing after another. Field trips, friend visiting, competition (I placed first in Regionals for SkillsUSA advertising design, w00t!), Valentines Anime night, starting a graphic design internship, continuous work and school, realizing I misjudged dates for Megacon and needing to prepare in FOUR days, then Megacon itself (hooray I drove to Orlando by myself and survived! - one half an hour detour...) I got back from the con and these past days have been going to class in morning and then to work, getting back home around 8:30. --_-- zzzzzzz
Granted all this is pretty much GOOD stuff! But you can see I've been busy. XD And there's still more of it to come.
Well anyway, Megacon! Much to my happiness, ~
Cetriya invited me to share a table and let me crash at her place. We also shared the middle of our table with ~
Soap-Committee and two other guys. Crowded yes, but it was a lot of fun grouping together.
I couldn't help myself and kept buying artwork from Rebecca/Soap! She did Sailor Moon and the Death Note ones on her own and needles to say, they didn't stay on the table long to sell. I grabbed them pretty quick. And then I commissioned her to draw Midnite and Star and fanart for Tsubasa Chronicles.

I LOVE my Totoro wallet I got! Isn't it so cute!?

Other than this an art, I bought 9 new posters for my hallway (those $2-$3 ones), and 3 new manga that were $5. And one T-shirt. Not any richer after this con, but oh well... not much poorer at least.
Oh and these two I received back in December but always meant to spazz about them here. These AWESOME Midnite and Star plushies were made for me by the amazing *
ichigo-pan43 So go look at her plushies and tell her how great she is! She also takes commissions.

I will definitely be at Jacon this year, and most likely Metrocon and AFO. By the way, I added bookmarks to sell! I love bookmarks... If you guys have any requests for any new stuff you would like to see, it wouldn't hurt to let me know.
Devious Comments
Ah well - hopefully I'll at least be able to meet you guys next year! I'd be honored to share a bit of that table action with you guys, too but.. I'd probably need to do some more anime-ish stuff, no? Not that I'd mind, but for a while now my stuff has sort of transformed into some sort of amalgam in a remotely-game-ish non sequitur of uncool something.
(Don't mind my speech being a bit off-gourd. I've been watching nothing but Strongbad emails while I work for the past week. That's what I get for being on dial-up and.. not having cable .. or a vcr player.. or a tv.. for that matter. Ah well.)
Hope to see you next year! .. and that you're not hoping the opposite!

Heh our group was just kinda happened through Cetriya and was just this convention. I normally stick with a full table or try and find one person to split a table with. I like being able to meet other artists in the alley though. By the way, I think your art style is awesome! It's fine if you *want* to do more anime-ish stuff, but don't do it just to sell stuff at a con. Stick with the style you like.
Well, I'm sure we'll eventually meet at a con! I just hope I'll still get to go to cons next year around whatever job I get.

I've tried selling art at cons before - the time I sold the most pieces was at Metrocon 1 when I just brought a bunch of computer printouts of my anime fanart and sold them for like $1-2 a piece to cover the ink and paper cost - heheh. (That year, they didn't get enough artists to sign up beforehand so they just let me sit down at an empty one for free
Then again, I haven't been to a con in a couple of years.. and practiced my weird lil' style a lot since then so.. maybe people -would- like it now.. Especially when I try some more fanart with it.. Hm. Something to think about.
(Sorry, I get babbling-y, can you tell?)
Anyways - I'll keep checking you guy's journals and whatnot. (As I enjoy all three of you'ses art alot!) Hopefully I'll catch one where I'll be able to meet all three of you sometime. : )
(Very sorry for the long comments!
